COTECONS – UNICONS RECEIVE BCI ASIA AWARDS – TOP 10 CONTRACTORS 2024

On May 31st, 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City, Coteccons and its subsidiary, Unicons, were honored with the prestigious Top 10 Contractors 2024 award by BCI Central. This marks the 19th year that BCI Central has recognized leading firms in the Architecture, Real Estate, and Construction industries across seven countries and regions in Asia, including Hong Kong (China), Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. 

The Top 10 Contractors (2024) were selected based on the total construction value of all projects initiated during the two-year period from January 1st, 2022, to December 31st, 2023, with additional weight given to projects holding Green certifications like LEED, Lotus, Green Mark, Green Star, and EDGE. Further consideration was given to specific project types, including Office/Headquarters, Hotels/Resorts, and Industrial/Factory projects.

This success is a testament to the continuous efforts of Coteccons – Unicons to pursue the goal of becoming an Industry Leader by focusing on people and sustainable values. Coteccons – Unicons have been at the forefront of implementing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices in the construction sector, with 46 projects achieving Green certifications such as LEED and Lotus. This reflects our strong commitment to sustainable and responsible construction.

CTD TALK “ACCIDENT-FREE WORK ENVIRONMENT” – COMMITMENT TO BUILDING A SAFE WORKPLACE FOR ALL EMPLOYEES

On September 13, 2024, at the Coteccons headquarters, the Coteccons Training Academy (CTA) organized a workshop titled “Accident-Free Work Environment” to raise awareness about occupational safety and discuss ways to build a safe working environment for all employees working at Coteccons Group. ​ As one of Coteccons’ core values, safety culture is always a priority, and it is also a leading standard in the construction industry. Coteccons not only focuses on providing high-quality services to partners and investors but also aims to create a safe and comfortable working environment throughout the working process for all employees. ​ This workshop attracted the participation of leaders and employees from member companies such as Unicons, UG M&E, Sinh Nam Metal, along with project directors, division directors, and site managers from various construction sites. ​ The workshop began with an introduction to the goals and main content. COTECCONS FULFILLS COMMITMENT TO PLANT OVER 11,000 TREES AT THE QUANG BINH WHITE CHEEKED GIBBON NATURE RESERVE FUNDS FROM THE GREENUP MARATHON

On September 17, 2024, Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company, in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Tuyen Hoa District, Quang Binh Province, and local authorities, held a groundbreaking ceremony for planting trees in the nature reserve buffer zone protecting the white-cheeked gibbon population in Dong Hoa Commune, Tuyen Hoa District, Quang Binh Province. This project is funded by the GreenUP Marathon.  Inspired by the GreenUP Marathon’s green vision, Coteccons pledges to plant one tree for every 5 km completed by a participant. After two seasons of the race—2022 in Quang Binh and 2023 in Binh Duong—more than 22,000 trees have been planted to reforest protective forest areas in Quang Binh Province. Continuing this tradition, in 2024, Coteccons committed to planting 11,111 trees, including species such as Chukrasia velutina, Erythrophleum fordii, Tarrietia javanica, Baccaurea, and Sarcocephalus coadunatus Druce, across 10 hectares of forest in the buffer zone of the white-cheeked gibbon population in Dong Hoa Commune, Tuyen Hoa District, Quang Binh Province.
